I was inspired to write this poem by Tiffany's Vision and Virtuosity Exhibition
Tiffany Jewellery began in 1845
To harness the luminescence of
Diamonds brilliance never denied
Raised from the darkest coldest depths
Wherein for aeons rocks formed
In so many different shapes light can reflect
Jagged opaque sharpened edges explored
Embedded and laid in waiting
Discovered then unearthed ready for alchemy
Magically cut so exquisitely pulsating
Redesigned so intricately so satiny
To capture sunlight to marvel through
A prism of colours shards so bright
Inherently their construct can appear as dew
White red yellow green or blue
Without censure blindingly shine
Jewellery adorning our bodies
In magnificent clustered displays
Shimmering and sparking that embodies
Awestruck delight flawlessly perfected splays
Illuminating our presence almost our creator's light
Their wonder of incandescence
Evoking an elusive je n'ais qoi's right
A tangible sense of elegance inimitable style
Joyous joi de vivre life so excitingly bright
Diamonds appear as starlight tears
From ethereal god's and goddesses
Bequest upon us to be enthralling seers
Arresting our eyes with inspiration immodestly
Jewel laden pieces
Exquisite timeless designs of encrusted
Sapphires rubies emeralds indestructible treats
Rings to propose or marry by promises entrusted
Sealing the eternal proof of love unbeaten
Devotion to demonstrate caring and sharing
A necklace a bracelet to adorn
A silk swanlike neck or arm baring
Empathising haute couture worn
Adorning and adoring celebrity's fame profile
Their wealth to enhance and sustain
Which some like to aspire to attain and beguile
Jewels so precious their value maintained
Some seen as out of reach
Yet just to see and admire them
In their pleasure we are steeped
We succumb to not resist magnetic gems
They are love they are artistry
Sophisticated and appealing
Drawn by nature so delicately
An affair never to cease or prove healing
Diamonds are forever through eternity
The universe's demonstration ever revealing
Of its wonders and precious resources purposefully
The epiphany of Tiffany's Vision and Virtuosity's meaning
Superlatively illustrates nature and art intertwined
Gemstones continuity of influence and beauty sublime
Their inherent reason to celebrate forever inspiring mankind
