A shadow of my former self
Retracted into days gone by
From whence I came
Poignant memories linger
Of a girl I barely remember
Her youthful image
Belies her youthful sighs
Yet now she lives a different life
Almost as an older wiser entity
Habititing where she thought she
Would never heal or rest
No guarantee of your life's plans
Being laid out and adventured
Turning out the best
Wherein once hope resided
Within my mind they tempered
The universe has otherwise
Has other ideas gifted
So from your intentions
They are amended then censored
To teach you lessons of your soul
It is better that you heed their call
To avoid he pain of these tests
That can inflict deep irreparable scars
When constantly ignored
Your life could be marred
Remember from the heavens
You are one of the sky's shining stars
Do right rather than the wrong
So that one day
You may once again
Enter paradise's euphoric throng
