SEEMED SIMPLE UNHURRIED YET OH SO SUBLIME

YET WITHIN HIS WRITING STILL

POLITICS HARDSHIP LOVE LOST AND YET STILL CRIME

WRITING WORKSHOPS HOSTED BY A WREN

A TROUPER A TEACHER HERSELF A BUDDING SUPERSTAR

SHE IS ALREADY ON HER WAY, SHE WILL REALLY SET A TREND

WHILST INSPIRING AND IMPARTING HER KNOWLEDGE

TO YOUNG INTELLIGENT EAGER INGENUES WRITERS

SHE FEELS COMPELS TO NURTURE AND FOR THEM FEND

WITHIN THESE WORKSHOPS I WOULD WRITE AWAY

WITH WHATEVER WORDS ARRANGED AS EASILY

AND DELECTABLY HOWEVER I FELT THEIR SWAY

I WROTE POETRY SMALL SCREEN PLAYS STORIES OF MY MIND

OH THE BLISSFUL DELIGHT OF THE TIME AND FOCUS TO SCRIBE

IN THIS TRAGIC LOCKDOWN

WHOSE FATALITIES HAVE BEEN SO MANY

I FEEL FOR THE FAMILIES WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LOVES

PONDERING ON HOW THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED

FEELING SO FORTUNATE SO FAR ALL WHOM I KNOW

HEALTHY AND SAFE YET FEELING SORRY TO THOSE

LIVES PUT IN DANGER AND TOYED WITH

MAY THEY REST IN ETERNAL PEACE

SO GRATEFUL FOR THE KEY WORKERS

WHO NOW NEED A WELL EARNED DESERVED REST

FROM THE CARES AND WORRIES OF THE VIRUS BEAST

NOT TO HURRY BACK TO NON-CIRCUMSPECT NORMAL LIFE

BEFORE MY EYES CLOSE SLOWLY FOR SLEEP

I LAY SMILING ON MY PILLOW FOR THE GRATITUDES

SO ABUNDANT AND BLESSINGS I HAVE RECEIVED

THE NUMBER OF WHICH I CANNOT NOT CONCEIVE

YET EVERY TIME I THINK OF THEM MY HEART FEELS SO FULL

I KNOW THAT MY LIFE IS WONDERFUL THIS I BELIEVE

MY OWN PARADISE EARNED THROUGH MANY CHALLENGED

THEN I PRAY FOR ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ALIKE

THAT ONE TOMORROW WILL BRING BACK

OUR OLD BUT CHANGED FREEDOM

ONE THAT WILL SERVE TO SAVE AND KEEP US

FROM DEADLY DISEASE'S HARM

FOR WE SHALL ALL REMEMBER THESE WEEKS

AS THE STORM THAT CHALLENGED US

BEFORE WE CAN AGAIN BASK IN SECURITY'S CALM
