It has been said Silence is Golden
I think it is wiser of old
If you listen intently many answers
Will magically revealingly unfold
Self isolation what's the correlation
Between self knowledge in social deprivation
Do you know yourself, reject or accept
Loved ones are they glad not to be alone
Do they perceive you truthfully
Are their perceptions clear without slight
Invisible masks are falling to be replaced
With medical sheilds to repress reaching arms of infection
In times of adversity sincerity and loyalty
Should not be effaced
Yet generosity sustained gladly embraced
Everyone in most nations of the earth
Confined to home our cosy hearths
What revelations will ensue
These may be nice surprises
Or smarting awful shocks electric blue
Yet enforced period of reflection
Is here to heal the planet
Pensively rethink our paths
So we consider new ways to improve ourselves
And our amazing planet on which we have thrived
Stop this over consumerism and avarice for
Trite unedifying things who's pleasure from is slight
After lockdown ceases freedom once more
We will have seen the writing on the proverbial wall
Remember to continue to care for our neighbours
The needy young and old alike
This historic era should be heeded to
Never forget its force or its unexpected blight
Forge ahead to hail in another time
Of contentedness happiness love and light
