Take Flight to soar through and beyond
The suspended misty errant shapes of clouds white and grey
Where sun rises and sets only temporarily shrouded from sight
Eyes astonished by a distant now far off miniature terrain
Seen from a higher perspective illustrating human impact
On once uncharted plains
Patchwork of green and sand
Contours of the coast rivers surging down through estuaries
To the seas then oceans gateways to far off lands
The grounded earth no longer restricts
A beloved view beheld from miles above
In a new horizon so calm and so heavenly high
Distance without bounds
Only the whirring of turning engines a muffled droning sound
Gliding through air and time
Traveller so physically free
As birds from their conception
Without outspread wings
We can now also be
Traversing skies rootless that only change
With the creeping darkness
Then the searing brilliant morning display
Moving on a stream of undulating buoyant air
A soft pillow to slumber and dream
we descend slowly back to earth's ever open arms
To discover explore exotic vistas
Their people willingly open their welcoming palms
Experiencing cultures anew
Charming all to mingle learn and understand
We are all one human family
Within this for all that this stands
Tales and knowledge to impart
Not only our bodies take flight
Our hearts and minds expanded
Beyond and within inner landscapes
Our souls are gifted the excitement and pure pleasure
Of yet undiscovered intellectual and visual delights
In abundant pastures forever giving beyond measure
Without cessation mankind will forever treasure
