Corona Virus Covid-19
Conjured from viral hell
It began in a lab in China's Wuhan
Bats injected then incredulously irresponsibly
Set out on a market stall to sell
For nourishment but only infected
By those that ingested these bats seemingly fresh to eat
Yet out of unknown laboratorial testing
Perilously infecting and now so biologically hard to defeat
The total disregard and folly of lab technicians In the name of experimentation science
and possibly new viral ammunitions
Could it have been a covert biological warfare mission With conscious volition to set about attrition In the name of progression but secret imposed oppression For which we now are paying with many human lives The perpetrators more stupid and blind with no contrition
Than the bats on which tested could ever be guilty of..so many lies
Incrementally every day thousands infected
Haphazardly in geographical splay Surging in an unprecedented death knell Others already sadly passed
Mourners in bereavement's quell Yet we seem unable to stop the spread
To prevent more being exposed then dead Locking down cities The toughest and only unforgiving way To stave off an unseen enemy with no Vaccine yet with which upon it to slay
Yet governments slow to react
Reluctant to pave a more Preventative and palliative way
In which to stem the rapid flow To save the young vulnerable and old
For people worldwide it has us all shrouded In terror and fear unable to be surpassed All entwined in a medical nightmare Eating its way into our way of life
Once taken for granted and little care
Businesses halted then closed
Their employees told to go home Profits will irretrievably take a plunge
For all their shareholders money lost and bemoaned
Escalating a billion dollar price tag
Foisted and ladened on the world's economy
Flaying under such unprecedented dichotomy
Ever more quickly stripping people of their freedom
Unforeseen medical blight upon which
Unattainable expectations to put the sick to right
Medical staff and hospitals in serious plight
The ill in self isolation confined to bed and desperation
For a cure and the company of their loved ones
A slim hope of an available yet needed hospital bed
This scourge may yet bring the world to its knees
Its has no boundaries either over land or seas
Once only imagined in Hollywood disaster movies
No longer CGI or virtual realities
A worldwide pandemic a major devastating catastrophe
2020 will go down in history as the year
A curse on human kind's anatomy
A noose that lynched the cogs
That turn this aged world now in the hands of God
Will we all learn from this tragic lesson
That has been thrust amidst us and unfurled
Without prior warning or helpful measures
Upon our already plundered planet hurled
The far reaching consequences
Have raised perhaps an insurmountable gamut
For how long are we to be in the isolation abyss
Without respite and knowledge before we can to hell damn it....
Restored sooner rather than later predicted... to good health's permanent kiss
