We nations in unified lockdown
To repress and stop the spread of Covid-19
Their peoples confined to home..
Our cosy hearths our comfort
Digital revelry ensues..
TV box sets movies
The dreaded violent aggressive noisy..x-box blues
What revelations in our thoughts will ensue
Heartening or discomforting will they be true
Will it be our lucid dreams fall and plummet
Our patience so precarious we are taken
To breaking the intolerance summit
Yet there may be unexpected yet nice surprises
We can never yet but tell
Or smarting awful shocks...
Burning electric blue
Yet this enforced period of reflection
From the freneticity ever speedy and growing
Is here to heal the planet
For the myriad wrongs we were sowing
Pensively some clarity to rethink our paths
So we consider new ways to improve ourselves
On our amazing planet by which we are nurtured
We have survived progressed and thrived
Stop this over consumerism and avarice
For trite unedifying things who's pleasure from is slight
Let us think aid and nurture others in mortal blight
After restrictions ceases
We will willing yield to our freedom once more
Yet we will have all seen
The previously ignored and executed
Writing on the proverbial wall
Remember to continue to care for our neighbours
The needy young and old alike
This historic era should be heeded
Commitment from us should never cease to spike
Never forget its force or its unexpected impact
Forge ahead to hail in a more equal better time
A life of harmony contentedness to remain in tact
Happiness peace love and light no crime
In a blinding illuminating all encompassing
Synergy of Sympatico of all humankind
